Thanks to the hard work of many and especially to Stacey Boyette for finishing up the flagpole garden we are ready for the final steps to the project.

Friday and Saturday we will getting topsoil and mulch and plants for the flagpole garden. Tomorrow & Saturday we will getting topsoil and mulch and plants for the flagpole garden. If you are interested in helping complete our project please stop by the flagpole Friday & Saturday Aug 6th & 7th at 9:00AM to help. Many hands make light work so please come. We need people helping with sign in and name tags as well as picture taking, clean up, etc. The anticipated time frame of the project each day is 9-11. Come for a few minutes or a few hours or any amount of time will do. We’ll have refreshments and drinks. Hope to see you there!

  • Topsoil in garden
  • Leaf mulch in garden
  • Install plants
  • Mulch garden and around trees
  • Install bench (should be completd before 8/7) delay in install due to weather. Anticipated installation before 8/21
  • Move cleats up flagpole (will be complete before 8/7)  delay in install due to weather. Anticipated icompletion before 8/21
  • Change Halyards & install solar lighting (Fire Dept) Saturday
  • Hoist new flags
  • Place rocks for rock garden (neighbors painted)

Fire Truck is coming!

Saturday morning during our planting project a Merrifield Fire Department FireTruck will be at the flagpole (as long as there are no emergencies) helping us with our NEPP project. Come and see, watch and help with the last few details of the project.
